MEGA-BATTLE CONDITIONS
Movement, Shooting
and Assault
Each Faction moves as one army, so for example: First all the
Armies within the Forces of order move, then they all shoot,
then they all assault.
After this, it is the Force’s of Disorder’s turn
to move, shoot and assault.
Due to the size
of the Battle however, there is a 30 minute time constraint
on the movement phase. Any units that have not moved after this
time is up, may not move.
There will
also be a total of a 50 minute time constraint on shooting and
assault. – This is a relatively long time, but given horde
armies and people’s unfamiliarity with the rules it is
set this high. – I do not expect it will have to be enforced
however.
Furthermore,
the Table Catches, so if a model has been moved it may NOT be
moved back to its “original position” and/or (to)
move somewhere else.
– For
these purposes, a model that has been lifted from the table
counts as having moved!!
Finally, models
should be moved properly, so no throwing all the models into
a heap and saying they have moved, please!
Attacking armies within your own
faction.
Yes, it is legal for different Armies within the same Faction
to attack each other, but it is illegal for an army to attack
an army of the same type as itself, and Imperials may not attack
other Imperials at all (with the exception of accidental scatter
attacks and Inquisitor Faynor’s unit).
Any victory points scored like this go to the enemy Faction
however, and it is almost certain to disrupt alliances within
a faction, so it is not advisable.
This also means
that shooting into close combat is legal as long as your own
army type is not involved in the close combat (Imperials may
still not shoot at Imperials).
Wounds caused by shots fired into a close combat are distributed
randomly by rolling a d6 for each wound, where each side in
the close combat is assigned numbers from 1 to 6.
The exception from this is where Templates are used, where you
must remove the models covered; and weapons, powers or special
rules that allows for picking specific models as the target.
In-between turns: breaks and planning
turns
Before the game starts and after each faction has had it’s
turn, there is a 10 minute break for one faction, while the
other faction has its “communication
and planning” turn.
Once this is over the other side gets to plan while the first
takes a break.
So between turns there is a 20 minute pause in all.
It
is not legal to measure anything
or touch models at all during planning or breaks!
Measuring tools
and Template Markers are removed from the gaming room.
You may however look at the board from all directions, including
models’-eye-view and take pictures. – (Please
try and not use to much time taking pictures other than in the
planning turns.)
After turn three
there will be a longer break if people feel like it.

Special Player-Roles
Keeper of Time
The Keeper of time will be me, and that means controlling that
time-limits for movement, shooting, assault, planning and breaks
are kept. – No exceptions!
Whenever possible I will strive to give a three minute warning
in case people's time is running out and they need to finish
up.
Rules Umpire
The rules umpire will be Michael who has a superb head for rules
and who is quite familiar with them.
Any rules disagreements will first and foremost be solved by
the Rules Umpire so we don’t spend a lot of time digging
around in books.
If the Rules Umpire is asked and gives a ruling, his word is
law (unless it sounds completely out of whack)!
If people still think the rules-decision sounds completely wrong
and want to waste their time looking up a rule, the game is
not paused for them!
So remember, the clock is ticking!
Also remember it’s
about having Fun, not about Rules Lawyering!
