A.P.S.
is an elite scout division within the Guardian Angels
Chapter.
As
opposed to normal scout units, A.P.S. wear fully environmentally
sealed body armour, advanced com-sat equipment, and are backed
up by suit enhancements and a machine spirit that are almost
as sophisticated as those in an MK7 Astartes class Power Armour.
The
members of A.P.S. are equipped with a number of weapons, including
the F1 class bolters, S2 Scouting class Missile launchers,
and S2 class Heavy bolters. - All developed as lightweight,
high-performance weapons with superb durability and easy battlefield
maintenance.
This
is all to ensure that these elite soldiers will be able to
carry out their missions deep within enemy territory. Onboard
spacehulks, deep within hive cities, and in hostile to zero
atmosphere environments.
This includes extreme cold and heat, Submerged missions, in acidic and toxic environments, in high pressure and in the vacuum of space.
The A.P.S. division was introduced
to the Chapter as an elite force meant to scout out and clean
up hard to reach places onboard spacehulks, but has since
seen action in hundreds of other hostile areas, like deep
within hivefleet ships, and in zero atmosphere environments.
The Guardian Angels Chapter
have used this variant scout force for hundreds of years now,
and will proudly continue to do so in the future.
